What we hold, and what we don't.

Last updated · 15 June 2026

01Who we are

Vumo (vumo.app) is operated by JustDukkan LLC, a company registered in Delaware. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean JustDukkan; “you” means anyone using Vumo, whether you host gatherings or attend them.

This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. By using Vumo, you agree to the handling of information described here. We use your information to run and improve the service — not to sell it.

02What we collect

When you use Vumo we may ask for information that identifies you — typically your name and email address, and optionally a profile photo and phone number. We also store the gatherings you create or RSVP to and the invitations sent through the platform.

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor.

03How we use it

We use your information to deliver the things Vumo is for: your ticket, reminders about a gathering, and the tools a host needs to manage their guest list. We do not send marketing you didn’t ask for, and we don’t use your content to train AI models.

We keep light, aggregated analytics to understand what works and what breaks. That data is anonymized and not tied to you personally.

04Who we share it with

Some sharing is the whole point of the product: if you host a gathering, your details are shared with your guests; when you RSVP, your details are shared with that gathering’s host; and when you buy a ticket, the information needed to take payment is shared with Stripe.

Behind the scenes, a short list of providers help us run Vumo — Supabase (database and storage), Resend (transactional email), Google (calendar sync and sign-in, where you opt in), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). We surface these connections in the product, and we have no control over how a third party uses data once you direct us to share it with them.

05Log data & analytics

Like most services, we automatically record the data your browser sends when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you open, and timestamps. This helps us keep the service working and secure.

We use a privacy-light analytics layer (Vercel Analytics) for aggregate usage. We do not build advertising profiles.

06Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser, sometimes holding an anonymous identifier. We use them to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. You can tell your browser to refuse cookies, but parts of Vumo may stop working if you do.

07Google APIs

If you connect Google Calendar or sign in with Google, we access certain Google data through Google’s APIs to create and sync events on your behalf. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and we do not pass that data to third-party AI tools for those purposes. You can disconnect Google at any time, and we delete the associated tokens.

08Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use commercially reasonable measures to protect it. That said, no method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.

09Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it to provide the service and to meet our legal obligations. Different records are kept for different periods; payment and tax records, for example, are retained for as long as the law requires.

10Links to other sites

Gatherings on Vumo can include links to other websites and tools — a video call, a map, a host’s own page. Following those links may let those parties collect data about you. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for how they handle your information.

11Your rights

Where the law gives you the right, you can ask us to show, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you’ve given us access to an outside account (such as Google), you can revoke it whenever you like and we’ll remove the related data.

12Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR (in the EU/UK) or KVKK (in Türkiye) applies, we process your personal data on one of these bases: to perform our contract with you — running gatherings, issuing tickets, and managing your account; our legitimate interests — keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and improving how it works; your consent, where we ask for it, such as when you connect Google Calendar or sign in with Google; and to meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting record-keeping. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

13International data transfers

Vumo and the providers that help us run it operate in the United States and the European Union, so your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. When we transfer personal data out of the EU, UK, or Türkiye, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision — and we work with processors (Stripe, Google, Supabase, Vercel, and Resend) that commit to comparable protections.

14EU, UK & Türkiye residents

JustDukkan LLC is the data controller for the information described in this policy. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your data. If you are in Türkiye, KVKK (Law No. 6698) gives you comparable rights. To exercise any of them, email support@vumo.app.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — your national supervisory authority in the EU or UK, or the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) in Türkiye — though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

15Changes to this policy

This policy applies from the date shown above. We may update it from time to time; any change takes effect once posted here, so it’s worth checking back. Continuing to use Vumo after a change means you accept the updated policy. If we make a material change, we’ll tell you by email or with a clear notice on the site.
